Knowing how to fix this problem starts with understanding what caused it. Here are three reasons why this message can occur and how to resolve each of them.
The ExamView file you are trying to open is already opened or is being used by another person.
Locate and close the first instance of ExamView.
The file has been added to CPS.
Close the ExamView file in ExamView, or delete the current link in CPS and then add it again.
The ExamView file is stored on a network drive or USB flash drive with insufficient privileges.
Locate the file on either location and drag it to the desktop then open (or link) the file.
